I'm home. Travel was uneventful. I do not want to talk about the interpersonal interactions.
I have furniture now! My own dresser, and a highboy in the library, with a fold out desk. Plus the fishtank - but it's filthy, so I have to clean it, and let it run for a week before getting fishies.
It may be a while before I go back to Philadelphia.
Fishiesfishiesfishies.

That good a visit, huh?
How big is the tank?

Gah. I love my parents. They are good people. However, their friends are a cavalcade of assholes, and as I get more healthy emotionally, I seem to be less equipped to handle their own issues. I've a lot of work to do in that arena.
However, I misspoke - it'll just be a while before I tell them when I'm in town. There are some nice B & B's in Center City for not much money.
The tank's a ten-gallon, and I've got all the accessories, including a heater, if I eventually decide to do tropicals. However, remember my dad's luck with fish? I'm going to start with some goldfish, I think - plus get one of those aquariums for dummies books.
Didn't you used to keep fish, or am I misremembering?

We have salt-water fish... its a hobby of mine, and an obsession of S's *laughs*. We love them.
All fish tanks, be it fresh water or salt water, can be alot of work, but alot of fun too.
Good luck :)

10 Gallons is much too small to make a salt-water aquarium. You need at least 29-30 gallons for that.

Back in Chicago I used to have a really sweet ten-gallon with a curved front, and had mollies, but the ex kicked it in.

Regular cleaning of the cookies file does it for me.
