This is just a little writeup of the character I'm running in Sir's Rolemaster game. It's a two person game, a first for me.

Name- Minda Narelan
Age- 80
Race- Loari Elf

Minda is a young daughter of House Narelan, one of the noble trading houses of Namar Tol. Like all High Elves, she's beautiful, but nothing particularly spectactular among her own people. Black hair, grey eyes, glowing skin (literally), and 6'5" tall. She's a dancer by habit, if not trade, and it shows in her well muscled arms and deliberate steps.

As for what her trade is, to the eternal consternation of her family she has none, preferring to spend her time amusing herself, or taking dance lessons. She quite honestly has little time for her family, while she believes like all of her people in the innate superiority of elves over mortal races, she doesn't really *like* them. Then again, it's hard to tell who she does really like. Minda has a handful of friends, but no one would say she's actually close to them - understandably, as they're all human, and thus could die while she was distracted composing a song, as her mother has been for the past 150 years. Knowing her time is brief with her friends, she keeps them at arms length. Feeling safe in her background as the daughter of a powerful elven house, not to mention an immortal, she can be a bit reckless, making "projects" out of the "truly deserving", usually those who have managed to annoy her. Luckily, at her core, she has a good heart, so it takes an offense to her sense of justice to annoy her.

Well...Minda keeps everyone at arms length, really. She's got a biting sense of humor, although her strong sense of diplomacy keeps it in check, most of the time. She has little patience with anyone, and will sometime disappear for months at a time, keeping to her apartment in the Black Oaks quarter, dancing for hours on end. Still, the frenetic lives of the humans of Sel-Kai draw her attention back.

Recently, her grandfather has requested she go on a little trip for him, setting up a trading outpost in a distant city. Although uninterested in the family business, refusal was not an option, as her grandfather holds her purse-strings, and doing him a favor might convince him to loosen them a bit, not to mention get the rest of her family off her back.

While all elves are well trained in self defense, Minda isn't particularly fond of the arts of war, preferring to use other weapons; a sharp tongue, her rank, her unusual place as a fashion-setter (she's one of the few elves among the young and idle) and her fondness for the subtle games of diplomacy to cause grief to her enemies.

Minda's a bit of a departure for me. I usually play characters not all the removed from myself, but I wanted to see what playing a wealthy noble would be like. Just for fun, I decided to make her a bit bitchy, too.:)
