Apparently, we do not pay enough attention to our surroundings when we're out in our own neighborhood. Tonight we went to what we thought was a new restaurant, the Himalaya Teahouse. As most of you know, I'm quite fond of both tea and Tibetan food, and this place is *wonderful* for each. Excellent selection of teas, a small but good selection of food, and a wonderfully soothing atmosphere. It walking distance (for me) from the house, and will be even easier to get to once I get a new bike. I'm very happy about it.

Oh, I probably didn't mention it. Right before we left for Las Vegas I went into the bike room to check on my bike, having heard that a neighbor had their bike stolen. Apparently about 6 bikes were stolen by some loser with a boltcutter, and you guessed it, mine was one of them. I'd only had the thing for about a month! Money's a bit too tight to replace it right now, especially since I'll be getting a 100$, thick-as-my-wrist, weighs-about-ten-pounds, case hardened steel chain. If the new bike gets stolen, I'll just give up on the idea till we leave the city. *sigh*. I really, really miss my bike. Errands were a lot easier, and my comfortable traveling range was considerably widened without having to consider public transit, not to mention the simple joy and comfort of riding. Ah, well.

Sir's got a three day weekend, which is just lovely, especially since he's had quite a commute lately. No more than he used to, but we've gotten quite used to him working from home, and are jealous of our time.
