Feb. 27th, 2004 08:46 pmHappy mail! A book I had traded for in the book_swap LJ (Francesca Lia Block, Nymph, for the curious), and a parcel from
firinel, with a copy of C.S. Lewis' Till We Have Faces, a most amazing and lyrical book, something I read many years ago and can't wait to read again, and even better, the original of the mermaid painting I loved so much, and ordered cards from. That'll be going into a frame I'll paint ito coordinate, and hang in the kitchen, which for reasons unknown to me, has a mermaid theme. Thank you so much, Fin!
We got rather a late start this morning, but the mail made that quite worthwhile, although it meant the farmers market was *mobbed*, the warmth and beauty of the day bringing everyone out. Chatting with a farmer, I wished her a good day, and she laughed and said "How could anything be wrong on a day like this?" I looked up at the impossible blue of the sky, and knew she was right. A light lunch, some errands, and now we are home, side by side in bed (yay wireless!) with Zazen curled up between us, and the rest of the weekend ahead. Indeed, what could go wrong on a day like this?
