I think of that song often, [livejournal.com profile] silme. I think perhaps once I was "the daughter of a great romance". There's consolation in that, strangely enough.

Working so hard on Escobar must be helping me untangle a lot of other thought patterns/processes too. Cool. Changing the linens, thinking over the whole mess, I quickly came to a few understandings.

This changes nothing, really. Mom will still be Mom, Dad will still be Dad. Right or wrong is nonexistent here, and though that's hard to hear, it's true, and railing against that which doesn't exist does nothing for them, and only hurts me. Accepting it simply means watching it unfold, being there when each of them need me, and understanding this is simply what is for right now, and praying that they each find peace.

You have come to a higher understanding very quickly. You have made leaps and bounds; I wished I could develop that quickly.

My latest Dar mantra is that "the world isn't falling apart because of me..." I know the Darlist has had mini debates over what that line means. My personal interpretation is just that -- very personal. The world isn't falling apart because of something I did or didn't do.

It's not our fault. Hugs.

That's *exactly* my interpretation too.:).

BTW, you still up for the muffin pan and some issues of _Real Simple_?

*hugs*

Oh yes! To both. Except I picked up what I think is the latest issue while in the US. :)

I subscribed a while back, so I have 6 or 7 issues (October's has a great spread on closet organizing, wonderful for us who have too much stuff in too small places). Since I have subscriptions to 5 mags, I can't keep them all, but I figured I'd hold onto the Real Simples, for sending to you. I should be getting to NY Cake and baking supply over the weekend, and can pick up a silicom muffin pan then.

I've got an idea for a trade, rather than money...Yarn. I've heard that the only reason wool yarn is so pricey here is because of wool tariffs, and in Europe and the UK it's much cheaper. Do you have anywhere it's easy for you to get yarn?

I can buy it locally. I know there's a shop here that sells it -- it's a combination wool/fabric store. And in North London, there's this wonderful weaving shop... If I ever get my card weaving truly set up, I will be spending money there. What kind of yarn -- besides wool -- are you looking for? (I mean, what type of wool, colors, etc.?)
